The Spin Out surf base existe since 1988 in Tarifa. It was founded by Daniela and Marc Staempfli. Two Swiss who went out in search of wind, sea and sun. All that we have found in Tarifa, the ideal place for windsurfing and kiting. Since 2009 we have a new partner Christine Lichtmannegger. She manages the station on the beach and organizes the lessons. Certainly she will find the right board for you. You can choose from 140 Tabou boards and 280 Gaastra sails in sizes ranging from 1.0 m² to 8.0 m². We renew the gear each year. We also rent holiday units and apartments near the SpinOut Surfbase.

Information to the center

The windsurf + kite center is located 10 km out of Tarifa town, on the beach of Valdevaqueros near the big dune. The entrance is on the national road 340 Cadiz - Malaga at km 75.5 opposite the Camping Valdevaqueros just before "Casas de Porros".
The predominant winds are Poniente (west wind) and Levante (easterly wind). The Poniente intensified in the summer with the local thermal wind up to 5 Beaufort. The Levante is often much stronger. Wind gust up to 90 km/h are not uncommon. The typical weather conditions for Levante is the Azores high pressure system over Spain and a low pressure area over North Africa.
During your vacation you always have the right board and sail. At Levant you surf often sails between 3.3 m² - 4.5 m² and at Poniente 5.0 m² - 7.0 m² . The Bay of Valdevaqueros, is a 5 km long sandy beach with no hidden reefs or rocks. This location guarantees you a safe surfing spot as well in very windy conditions.
